Our Advocacy

every woman deserves the chance to catch it early

Breast cancer remains the most commonly diagnosed cancer among Filipino women — yet for thousands of women in underserved and rural communities, early detection is out of reach. Not because the science isn't there, but because the system around it hasn't reached them yet.

IM Optimal Access Inc. (IMOA) exists to close that gap.

who we are

IM Optimal Access Inc. (IMOA) is a duly registered company in the Philippines, engaged in the distribution, marketing, and support of medical devices — with a social enterprise mission dedicated to empowering underserved and vulnerable populations to boost breast cancer survival outcomes and mitigate health disparities.

IMOA holds the necessary licenses and authorizations issued by the Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA), including a License to Operate (LTO) as an Importer and Distributor of Medical Devices. IMOA is also the holder of the Philippine Certificate of Product Registration (CPR) for the iBreastExam device, authorizing the company to import, market, and distribute the device within the Philippines.

As of this date, IMOA is the only authorized distributor and FDA-registered entity for iBreastExam in the Philippines.

We don't just distribute technology. We build programs: partnering with Local Government Units, health offices, and community health workers to design screening and education initiatives that fit the realities of the communities they serve — geographically, financially, and culturally.

our approach

We work directly with local governments to bring population-based breast cancer screening to entire communities — not just those who can afford to seek it out.

Community-first design. Our programs are built barangay by barangay, in partnership with LGU health offices, to reach as many women aged 30–65 as possible within a defined area — not just those who walk into a clinic.

Accessible technology. We deploy the iBreastExam (iBE) — a portable, radiation-free, painless tactile sensor device that allows trained health workers to conduct breast screenings in community settings, without the cost or infrastructure burden of mammography.

Built on trust. Every program we design includes clear consent processes, data privacy protections compliant with the Philippine Data Privacy Act (RA 10173), and a structured Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) framework — so communities and local leaders can see, transparently, what the program is achieving.

Partnership, not parachuting. We work with LGUs as long-term partners — not as an outside vendor dropping in equipment and leaving. Local health workers are trained, equipped, and supported to sustain screening efforts well beyond a single outreach event.

join us in closing the gap

Whether you're an LGU exploring a screening partnership, a health worker, or an organization interested in supporting early detection access — we'd like to talk.
